I have been saying for a long time that the education system, especially higher education like college, is ripe for disruption. The first shot has been fired by Micheal Saylor, the CEO of MicroStrategy. (Yes, that Micheal Saylor who is a hardcore Bitcoiner.)

Now the FUD my friends throw at this is along the lines of "Where's the accreditation?" Well let's explore that. What is accredidation?
Accreditation is a review process to determine if educational programs meet defined standards of quality. In the United States, academic accreditation is voluntary, decentralized, and carried out by many non-governmental, non-profit organizations. The process of academic accreditation typically culminates in an external quality review by a team of professional experts from academe or industry. These experts volunteer their time, professional knowledge, and experience to this process of quality assurance and ongoing improvement to education in their disciplines.
This seems simple enough. So what is stopping a free college like Saylor.org from being accredited? NOTHING!!
Now think about this. As of this post Saylor.org has ~1 Million students. A large majority of students are from 3rd world countries. Poor countries. This is where the competition is going to come from.
If you are racking up debt to attend a college or university, you are at a disadvantage. You'll be set back years.
I've had this question for a long time. I know the USA is printing money like crazy. But also, countries around the world are doing the same thing with their currencies. So isn't it a wash? Why does it matter?
