Brokerage firms like Robinhood allow free trades because they make $400 million per year from a company called Citadel. Citadel gets your trade a half second before it posts.
Citadel is also an investor in Melvin Capital. Melvin Capital is the large hedge fund who was shorting $GME.
Citadel paid Janet Yellen, Joe Biden's new Treasury Secretary, $819,000 for a 1 hour speaking event. So they decided to give their buddy Janet Yellen a call to put pressure on the brokerage firms to stop trading of $GME, $AMC, and $NOK.
Not only did Robinhood stop trading, they then started to sell off shares of $GME for investors without the investor's consent.
So do you think Prince Joe will stand up against Robinhood and the Citadel? Or will he cave to the $$?
I've had this question for a long time. I know the USA is printing money like crazy. But also, countries around the world are doing the same thing with their currencies. So isn't it a wash? Why does it matter?
